RALPH DE JONGH albumrelease show Under The Volcano at Westerliefde

Ralph de Jongh is not only a highly talented artist and a wonderful person, he is also very productive.
It was only a year ago I saw him present his then latest album ‘Lonesome Man, Ocean of Love’ at North Sea Jazz Club Amsterdam and last Thursday already he celebrated the release of yet another new album, called ‘Dancing On The Volcano’. Actually a trilogy consisting of 3 albums ‘Highway Man’, ‘Bemuse Me’ and ‘Misty Train’, all in all containing an impressive number of 42 tracks.
This release show was initially booked at North Sea Jazz Club, but unfortunately the club had to close early February and Ralph then moved the party to Westerliefde, just like NSJC situated at Westergasfabriek. And as they did not want the fans to have to buy new tickets Ralph and the band decided to do this show for free and not ask any admission fee at all. A great gesture that shows where the hearts of these musicians are, with their music and their fans.
Just take a look at the pictures I shot that magical evening and it must be clear that it was a true party!
The band is: Ralph de Jongh (vocals, guitar, harmonica), Maarten Ouweneel (guitar), Ewa Pepper (violin), Arend Bouwmeester (saxophone), Joost verbraak (trumpet, trombone), Rogier Hemmes (bass) and Arie Verhaar (drums).
