King Of The World (September 2015)

Last week the highly successful Dutch bluesband KING OF THE WORLD played P60 Amstelveen for the first time since 2013, when they had only just released their first album ‘Can’t Go Home’.
Since then they released another studio album ‘KOTW’ in 2014 and a live recording ‘Live At Paradiso’ in May 2015.

The guys are now working on new material and treated the audience at P60 on a couple of those new songs, next to the stuff that over the past 3 years has become familiar to the fans.
And where Erwin in his usual announcement of ‘Can’t Go Home’ initially always referred to his long lasting friendship with the late Harry ‘Cuby’ Muskee and later expanded that to the feelings we all have when we have to miss a loved one, he now chose to add the aspect of actuality and to dedicate the song to all refugees who lose their loved ones and are forced to flee from their homes these days.

KING OF THE WORLD still are: Erwin Java (guitar), Ruud Weber (vocals / bass), Govert van der Kolm (keys) and Fokke de Jong (drums).
