German thrash metal band Sodom was founded back in 1981 and started off focusing on black metal, to switch to thrash around 1987.
Of the founding members only singer / bassist Tom Angelripper still appears in the current setting, accompanied since 1996 by guitarist Bernd Kost (Bernemann). ‘Newby’ in this company is drummer Markus ‘Makka’ Freiwald, who joined in 2010.
I shot these pictures on 4 December 2014 in Tilburg, when Sodom was there on tour with Vader, Arch Enemy and Kreator.
