Today the DEMO CLASSIC MOTORRACE WINKEL foundation organized their 4th Classic Demo Race. In Winkel, Netherlands.
The programme is varied and brands represented are Norton, BSA, Aermacchi, MV Agusta, Ducati, Benelli, Derbi and Kreidler. All machines are about 30 years old. Among the participating bikes is the 500cc Honda a.k.a. ‘The Beast’ that was driven by Mike ‘The Bike’ Hailwood until 1977 when Mike moved to MV.
Among the participants we find Peter Lemstra on his Yamaha.
In the sidecar class my friends Rob Menger and Peter Pruim participate on the 1976 rig that once was driven by Egbert Streuer. Needless to add that hardly any original part of those days is still on the machine…
