Hans and Candy Dulfer (P60 Amstelveen, May 2015)

HANS DULFER, highly praised Dutch saxophonist and band leader, componist and columnist has been a musician for 60 years already and will be 75 this year.

He will celebrate that with a big party called under the name HANS DULFER ROUTE 75 at Melkweg Amsterdam with guest performances by a.o. his daughter en fellow-saxophonist Candy Dulfer, DJ Joris Feijertag with David Dam, trombone player Joseph Bowie, trumpeteer Saskia Laroo, the band The Jig, saxophonists Wouter Kiers and Ruud de Vries, DJ’s Frankie D. & Mulat, and many others.

Meanwhile he is continuing to do what he has always done, play the clubs whenever he can with his power jazz / funk / soul whatever you name it, always creating a great athmosphere in which it is hard to not move to the groove.

I shot these pictures during his show at P60 Amstelveen on 1 May 2015, where Candy joined him on stage for another great show.
